· "Mr. Blettsworthy on Rampole Island" is a novel by H. G. Wells. It tells the story of Arnold Blettsworthy who, after being betrayed by a business partner, is advised to go travelling in an attempt to recover from his severe disillusionment. The fifth in my recently begun H.G. Wells collection (and I don't even like science fiction!), Mr. Blettsworthy on Rampole Island is apparently one of the author's lesser known novels and somewhat of a modified later version of his Doctor Moreau plot.
